Operation Feed-A-Pet Our pets are part of our families. They makes us laugh, they're fun to snuggle and they are a great source of comfort during difficult or stressful times. But what if those difficult times meant having to choose between feeding yourself, or feeding your pet? For many people, this is a daily reality that often times results in animals being surrendered to shelters - devastating to both owner and pet. No one should have to relinquish their pet because they cannot afford to feed it. We're committed to providing pet food - and relief - to people through the Center for Food Action so that neither they, nor their pets go hungry. We maintain a high level of consistency delivering the same kind of food each week, so that pets have a stable diet, which is important to maintain good digestive health. Since Operation Feed-A-Pet's inception in April 2008, CAA has delivered 5,335 pounds of food, exceeding our goal of 5,000 pounds of food by the end of 2008. This equates to 13,336 bowls of pet food. We couldn't have done it without the assistance of our donors who clipped coupons and sent donations. THANK YOU for all of your help. Your donations have made a significant difference in the lives of so many people and their beloved pets. We look forward to your continued support of this worthwhile program in 2009.
